  • Linear measurement accuracyWithin the entire environmental range, from 0 º C to 40 º C (32 º F to 104 º F) and from 650 millibars to 1150 millibars, the accuracy is ± 0.5 ppm. XC-80 compensator and sensor

XC-80补偿器The XC-80 compensator is a key element in the linear measurement accuracy of the XL system. The compensator is equipped with "intelligent sensors" to process raw environmental parameters, which can accurately measure air temperature, air pressure, and relative humidity. These changes in conditions may affect the laser wavelength and measurement readings.

The XC-80 uses sensor readings to correct the nominal value of laser wavelength, providing the true value used in subsequent calculations, eliminating any measurement errors caused by these changes.

Note:When using the Renishaw system, angle or straightness measurements do not require environmental compensation, as these measurements are calculated by the difference between two beam paths that are close to each other, where the environmental factor itself is cancelled out. Since the measurement of rotation axis, flatness, and verticality is also based on these measurements, there is no need for environmental compensation.

Tripod and gimbal

Unless you are using a dedicated measuring platform, it is likely that you will need an installation gimbal (usually a tripod) to adjust the position of the laser head relative to the desired measurement axis.
