The respiratory sensor system 6-BOD uses VELP's RESIRPOMETRIC respiratory sensor, designed for laboratory measurement of water and wastewater BOD. With wireless data transmission and intelligent analysis functions, it is more convenient to use.

measuring principle

Add the water sample to be tested and the corresponding medication into a brown glass bottle, and seal the bottle mouth to install a breathing sensor. When the water sample contains biodegradable organic matter, the microorganisms present in the water or inoculated microorganisms consume oxygen to degrade the organic matter and produce the corresponding amount of CO₂The generated CO₂Absorbed by strong alkali at the neck of the bottle. As the reaction proceeds, the pressure inside the bottle decreases. The respiratory sensor records the pressure changes inside the bottle from the beginning to the end of the reaction, and then converts them into mg/L results for output.
