SOLITAX ™ The SC turbidity/suspended solids analyzer uses a dual beam infrared and scattered light photometer to detect turbidity/suspended solids concentration, and 880nm near-infrared light to eliminate color interference. It is a multi range, fast response, self-cleaning turbidity/suspended solids concentration meter.

-Working principle

In SOLITAX ™ The measurement probe of the SC turbidity/suspended solids (sludge concentration) analyzer has a built-in LED light source located at a 45 ° angle, which can emit 880nm near-infrared light towards the sample. After scattering by suspended particles in the sample, the beam forms scattered light at a 90 ° angle to the incident light, which is detected by a detector in that direction and calculated to obtain the turbidity of the sample. When measuring sludge concentration, scattered light is formed at a 140 ° angle to the incident light and detected by the rear detector in that direction. Then, the suspended solids concentration meter calculates the signal intensity detected by the front and rear detectors to provide the sludge concentration value.

Due to the fact that the LED emits near-infrared light at 880nm, the inherent color of the sample will not affect the measurement results of the suspended solids concentration meter.
