The R1L-E2A safety micro ohmmeter and contact test are digital portable micro ohmmeters used for measuring low resistance values. This instrument uses 4-wire technology to eliminate errors caused by connecting cables.
To protect the instrument, it is packaged in a sturdy plastic box. When the box is closed, the gasket seals the box cover to prevent moisture or dust from entering during transportation due to rain or other environmental factors. When the box cover is opened, the second layer of gasket seals the front panel, sealing all panel openings waterproof and sealing the movable battery cover.
The instrument reading is displayed on a 3 1/2 digit LCD monitor, with a display range of 1.999 to 199.9. In low brightness environments, the LCD backlight switch on the front panel can be pressed. When the battery is low, the LCD display will show "LO BAT", and when it exceeds the usage range, it will display 1 after blank.
The R1L-E2A is powered by three internal heavy-duty alkaline "D" batteries. There is a power switch and a full range ohm value selection switch for rotation on the front panel. The instrument provides 5 measurement ranges. The instrument is connected and measured through 5 color coded terminal posts. During testing, the terminal posts can be connected to resistors through wires, or a handle type test probe can be used.
