Scientific CCD camera Retina R3
The scientific CCD camera Retina R3 adopts the latest CCD chip, integrates intelligent image processing technology, USB3 high-speed interface, and deep semiconductor cooling. It can easily perform high-resolution imaging of fixed samples, large field tissue section scanning, and dynamic weak light capture of living cells. The Retina R3 can become the main camera for your laboratory to accommodate multiple applications. The camera adopts a USB 3.0 ultra high speed computer interface, achieving true plug and play functionality. The readout speed of the camera is 50MHz, with a frame rate of 13.7 frames per second for full frame imaging and 21.9 frames per second for pixel fusion (Binning 2 x 2). Combined with the camera's ultra-high sensitivity, it can meet most high-speed and high-sensitivity imaging needs.
The Retina R3 adopts the latest programmable FPGA intelligent image processing technology, which has advanced image processing functions such as real-time Defect Pixel Removal and Dynamic Dark Frame Correction. It can effectively eliminate hotspots and dark current noise during low light imaging, improve the camera's dynamic range and detection limit.
Characteristics of the Retina R3 Scientific CCD Camera
- 75% peak quantum efficiency combined with low electronic noise design can detect weak signals that industrial cameras cannot detect
- Extending exposure time or using pixel fusion (Binning) technology can detect extremely weak signals using chips with deep cooling.
- The 50 megahertz dual channel readout port increases the camera frame rate, making focusing and capturing samples smoother
- Reduce the photobleaching and phototoxicity of the sample caused by illumination light
- Intelligent on-board image processing technology, using advanced real-time FPGA algorithms to obtain higher quality images
- New Ocular Imaging Software
Application of Scientific CCD Camera Retiga R3
- Fixed or living cells
- Time series imaging
- Slice scanning
