Bond Elut DEA is qualitatively different from Bond Elut NH2It is somewhat similar, but its anion exchange ability is slightly weaker. Due to the presence of an amino group at one end of its alkyl carbon chain, DEA is slightly non-polar. But these groups still have a moderate polarity greater than C8 and less than C2 or CN-E.
