SonTek-SLReal time online acoustic Doppler flowmeterIntroduction: To measure flow velocity and water level in natural rivers and open channels, a simple and effective instrument is required. SonTek SL (abbreviated as SL or Side View ADCP), as an automatic online flow monitoring instrument, has been approved and widely used in the industry. Two novel styles (3G) have been newly developed and researched, which adopt SonTek's new technology - SmartPulseHD. Combined with application software, optional mounting brackets, and various compatible integration methods, they can meet more needs and applications of users.
Specially designed, the instrument can be installed on bridge piers, channel walls, or riverbanks. The smooth and flat shape makes on-site installation easier. There are three different specifications of models to choose from, which can be used in small channels that can be skipped with just one foot, or in large rivers such as the Amazon River. The ultra narrow acoustic beam and sidelobe suppression function avoid interference from the water surface and riverbed, allowing sound waves to be emitted further and thus obtaining a larger horizontal measurement range.

SonTek-SL500： Suitable for long-distance rivers and ports
A reliable and classic online current meter, installed on docks or riverbanks for quick maintenance without the need for divers or boats. Compared to similar products from SonTek, it is more lightweight and easy to install. The horizontal measurement range can reach 120 meters. Especially suitable for:
·Great rivers, estuaries, and water supply channels
·Installed on bridge piers and docks, measuring tides and flow rates for port safety, ship navigation, and weather forecasting
·Offshore platform

SonTek-SL1500（3G）： Widely used in rivers of medium width
The flat and slim design with intelligent pulse function makes the SL1500 (3G) a powerful current measurement system. Collect high-quality horizontal profile data, with a flow measurement range of 0.2-20 meters. By adopting a side view installation method and utilizing the intelligent pulse function, high-resolution and high-quality data can still be obtained even if water flow conditions change. Especially suitable for:
·Rivers, creeks, water supply channels, irrigation channels, drainage channels
·The performance exhibited even under very low flow rates (even when interrupted) or counter current conditions

SonTek-SL3000（3G）： Smaller instruments
The smallest and lightest side view Doppler flowmeter among similar products. The SL3000 (3G) can adopt smaller sampling units, and the application channel can even be as small as 0.5 meters. The high-resolution profile unit has a minimum unit of only 4 centimeters. No matter how narrow the channel is, high-precision data can still be measured near the shore, canal walls, or hydraulic structures. Especially suitable for:
