Selection steps for stainless steel ball screw:
1. Determine the usage environment
Determine the temperature of the usage environment and whether it is corrosive. If it is in a high temperature or corrosive environment, precipitation hardened stainless steel such as 1Cr15Co14Mo5VN, 0Cr17Ni4Cu4Nb steel can be used for ball screws.
2. Determine usage conditions
Based on the weight of the moving object, feed speed, operating mode, screw shaft speed, stroke, installation direction (horizontal or vertical), and lifespan.
3. Determination of accuracy level
In JIS (Japanese Industrial Standards), ball screws are classified into six grades (C0, C1, C3, C5, C7, C10) for differentiation. Among them, C0 C1、C3、C5, Four levels are precision ball screws, C7、C10, Two grades are ordinary ball screws.
In ISO3408-1:1991, ball screws are classified into 5 levels: 1, 3, 5, 7, and 10. Positioning: There are 3 levels: 1, 3, and 5, while transmission is used for levels 7 and 10.
4. Pre select specifications for ball screws
Pre select the accuracy level (C3~C10), screw shaft diameter, pitch, and length of the ball screw according to the usage conditions.
5. Determine basic reliability
Confirm that the axial load is within the allowable axial load range of the screw shaft, calculate the life time of the screw shaft, and confirm that the required life time can be ensured.
6. To improve the positioning accuracy and responsiveness during control, the following confirmation is required.
a: The rigidity of the screw shaft
b: Temperature induced changes in lifespan and accuracy
