The stainless steel ultrasonic digital water meter adopts the time difference method to measure the flow rate, that is, an ultrasonic transducer is installed upstream and downstream of the measurement channel (pipe section) respectively for the mutual transmission and reception of ultrasonic signals.
Due to the superposition of ultrasonic signals and water flow signals, the propagation speed of sound waves is different in forward and backward flow. Therefore, the running time of ultrasonic signals emitted by different transducers in water is different. By measuring the difference in this time, the flow velocity of the fluid can be calculated, and then converted into flow rate to achieve flow measurement.
At the top of the flow tube, there are two transducers. The transducer A emits an ultrasonic signal (downstream) to the transducer B, while the transducer B emits an ultrasonic signal (upstream) to the transducer A. The upstream and downstream ultrasonic signals form a certain time difference during transmission. With the calibrated pipe diameter cross-sectional area and standard measurement pipe length, the flow rate of the meter is calculated through the calculation chip on the integrator.
