1. Measurement principle: The mass of a polarizer per unit area is called the areal density of the polarizer. Resulting in a certain attenuation of the radiation intensity after penetrating the polarizer relative to the incident radiation intensity. The attenuation ratio has a negative exponential relationship with the surface density of the penetrated polarizer. By filling a special gas ionization chamber to detect the radiation intensity before and after passing through the polarizer, the surface density of the polarizer can be calculated.
