      Steel lined glass is a composite of steel and glass, consisting of borosilicate glass in a molten state, which is lined into the inner wall of a preheated steel pipe using a special method, so that the glass firmly adheres to the inner wall and is in a certain compressed state, forming a steel lined glass pipe. Steel lined glass pipe fittings can also be combined into other products such as heat exchangers.

      Steel lined glass products have the characteristics of high chemical stability, smooth and unobstructed inner walls, low fluid resistance, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance, pressure resistance, and vacuum resistance. In industrial production, fully utilizing the unique role of glass can not only replace rare metals such as stainless steel, titanium aluminum, and steel plastic lining pipes, but also stabilize production processes, reduce maintenance time and costs, and improve product quality and economic benefits to a considerable extent.

      Characteristics and scope of use of steel lined glass fittings

      1、 Performance and technical parameters:

      Nominal pressure: PN ≤ 2.0MPa Operating temperature -20 ℃ -320 ℃

      Cold shock: ≤ 120 ℃ Hot shock ≤ 180 ℃

      Maximum temperature tolerance for sudden changes up to 230 ℃

      Media used: acids and various organic and inorganic chemicals (excluding hydrofluoric acid, fluoride, and concentrated phosphoric acid). Strong alkaline media with a pH value greater than 12 are not suitable.

      2、 Installation and usage precautions

      1. There is no need to worry about strength during installation, but excessive concentrated loads and impacts on steel lined glass products, improper clamping and loading/unloading, and flange sealing surfaces can all cause damage to the lined glass. The sealing gasket between flanges can be made of rubber gasket, asbestos board gasket, graphite asbestos gasket, polytetrafluoroethylene gasket, soft lead or other semi-rigid materials according to the medium and process. The thickness should not be less than 4mm, and the outer diameter should be larger than the flange flange.

      2. If the gap between the flanges is large, the thickness of the gasket can be increased to make up for it. Do not forcefully tighten the bolts and damage the sealing surface. Tighten the bolts evenly at the corners.

      3. It is not allowed to weld, cut or locally heat the steel lined glass tube with flames to prevent the glass from exploding. Slowly increase or decrease the pressure and temperature, and do not exceed the specified range.

      4. Place the gasket correctly during installation, and ensure even force distribution when connecting bolts. Take strict precautions to prevent protruding force on the upper side to avoid damaging the flange glass sealing surface. After installation and pressure testing, compressed air and water should be used for blowing and cleaning to remove ash and other residual substances.
