ICMOS is powered by Photonis' image enhancement tube coupled with a wide dynamic range CMOS sensor, providing real-time imaging capabilities under cloudy starlight to low light illumination conditions.
The camera module has a small size, light weight, and low power consumption (SWaP), making it very suitable for integration into aviation, mobile, and handheld monitoring systems. Its advantage is to convert the direct view image enhancement tube into a digital solution.
The combination of tube and CMOS provides high-performance image quality obtained through image enhancement tubes and all the advantages of digital low light cameras, such as recording, saving, and sharing videos. The high-voltage power supply of the enhancement tube and the readout electronic components of the CMOS sensor have been integrated. ICMOS is a night vision device that cannot be used during the day. All Photonis image enhancement tubes and any type of sensor can be coupled using iCMOS technology.
