Working principle of VOC waste gas treatment equipment

The high ozone UV beam is used to irradiate organic gases and oxygen molecules in the air, breaking down the molecular bonds of organic gases and decomposing oxygen molecules in the air to produce free oxygen, namely reactive oxygen species, UV+O2 → O -+O * (reactive oxygen species) O+O2 → O3 (ozone). Free state pollutant molecules combine with ozone oxidation to form small molecule harmless or low harm compounds, such as CO2, H2O, etc. Thus achieving the effect of purifying gas. The purification ability can reach 99%.

Theoretical support for VOC waste gas treatment equipment technology

The high-power ultraviolet discharge tube used in this UV photolysis purifier is a low-pressure mercury discharge tube, emitting ultraviolet wavelengths mainly at 170nm and 184.9nm (currently under research and development of a series of products with wavelengths ranging from 150nm to 184.9nm), with photon energies of 742 KJ/mol and 647 KJ/mol, respectively. To break the molecular bonds of pollutant molecules, it is necessary to use photon energy that is stronger than the binding energy of pollutant molecules. Table 1 lists the binding energies of the main chemical molecules. According to Table 1, the molecular binding energy of most chemical substances is lower than the photon energy of 170nm and 184.9nm wavelength ultraviolet light. Therefore, this UV photolysis purifier can decompose most chemical substances except for carbon, calcium, and metals.

What are the advantages of VOC waste gas treatment equipment?

(1) Deodorization: It can remove major pollutants such as volatile organic compounds (VOCs), inorganic substances, hydrogen sulfide, ammonia, thiols, as well as various odors, with a deodorization efficiency of over 99%. (3) Strong adaptability: The UV photolysis purifier can adapt to the deodorization and purification treatment of high concentration, atmospheric volume, and different industrial waste gases. It can work continuously 24 hours a day and operate stably and reliably.

(4) Low operating cost: UV photolysis purifier has no mechanical action, no noise, no need for dedicated management and daily maintenance, only requires regular inspections. This equipment has low energy consumption and extremely low air resistance<50pa, which can save a lot of exhaust power energy consumption.

(5) No pre-treatment required: Organic gases do not require special pre-treatment such as heating, humidification, etc. The equipment can work normally in an environment with a temperature between -30 ℃ and 95 ℃, a humidity between 30% and 98%, and a pH value between 2-13.

(6) The equipment has a small footprint and light weight: suitable for special conditions such as compact layout and narrow space. The equipment occupies an area of less than 1.2 square meters and can handle an air volume of 10000m3/h.
