TIV
The TIV (indentation observation) method is based on Vickers hardness testing; This method uses a special optical technique to "see through" Vickers diamond., When the probe presses on the material, the image of the indentation is transmitted and evaluated directly, automatically, and quickly. The instrument reads out the measurement results through the indentation.
By indentation observation method Regardless of the material, the TIV hardness tester can be used without any additional calibration. You can use the same instrument to measure the hardness of various materials without any reference samples or laborious settings: from steel and non-ferrous metals to plastics, hard alloy metals, glass, as well as ceramics and different coatings. Static application of detection load can reduce the vibration of the detected object and minimize the impact of the elastic properties of the detection material on the detection results. Another advantage: You can even successfully measure very thin detection objects, such as coils, metal sheets, and metal foils, using TIV, which previously could not be measured by fixed or mobile hardness testers. Therefore, hardness testing becomes neither dependent on materials nor on the quality and geometric structure of the object being tested. This means that TIV has opened up new application areas for mobile hardness testing. Direct, automatic, and rapid measurement and evaluation Just like portable instruments, TIV cannot determine the size of the Vickers diamond indentation, and therefore cannot indirectly or directly determine the hardness of the material: "Observation through indentation" refers to the ability to see the "growth" of Vickers diamond indentation on the surface of the object being tested while applying a testing load - this is guaranteed by special optical components and CCD cameras. Once the detection load is reached, the indentation is automatically evaluated and transmitted. This means that the diagonal can be directly determined without detours (through a microscope). Your advantage: The measurement is not only faster, but also eliminates subjective errors when determining diagonal length. In addition, through the display on the monitor, TIV is a hardness tester that can directly control and immediately evaluate the measurement quality. Moreover, the image of the indentation can directly identify the state of the diamond. Unique technology The color LCD of the TIV hardness tester not only provides you with pictures of diamond indentation, but also displays readings directly according to the selected hardness unit. The graphical user interface displayed on the monitor is adapted to the well-known Windows standard. With this method, whether you need to configure, measure, evaluate, or store, you can quickly master how to operate the instrument proficiently. Additionally, you can select functions with a pen without the need for a mouse, as the instrument has a touch screen. And as a substitute, you can also use traditional button operations to complete function selection. |
Main features and advantages
Easy to operate Three main menus make it easier for you to access the most important instrument functions - you only need to "click the screen" a few times to reach your destination. Do you want to see a series of tests using curves, histograms, or statistical tables? Just click once. Easy to achieve by selecting another hardness table. In the "Data" menu, you can store measurement results and indentation images in a simple and direct way. Mobile Operation Practice You can operate the TIV using either a power connection or a standard battery, or through our rechargeable battery pack that allows for internal charging of the instrument. After a period of time, if the monitor is interrupted, simply touch the touch screen to restart it. Automatic shutdown function, all data and settings will be automatically saved before shutdown. |
