Wet leaf surface humidity sensor
Product details

Using PTFE coated ceramic carriers to simulate leaf physiological morphology, there is a fitted curve relationship between the carrier's conductivity and humidity. Therefore, the magnitude of the carrier current signal can be used to equate the blade humidity condition. Leaf moisture has important indicator significance in plant disease control research and intelligent irrigation systems.

measuring principle

The ADCON leaf moisture sensor has been developed to provide users with a stable and low-power sensor, replacing traditional paper sensors or human or animal hair. A conductive grid track is etched onto a polytetrafluoroethylene ceramic plate, accurately simulating the surface of the blade and outputting a series of readings between 0 and 10.

In order to imitate correctly, the leaf surface humidity sensor should be installed on the left side of the leaf. Avoid direct sunlight and excessive exposure to the wind, as both will greatly shorten the wetting time of the leaves.

The output of the sensor in ADCON's addVANTAGE Pro software is based on actual verification of large leaf plants. Currently, in all disease models in the addVANTAGE software, sensor values between 0 and 3 are considered dry, while values from 4 to 10 represent wet. For the wetting mode of special leaves or disease models that require an intermediate value between dry and wet, it can be easily achieved using sensors with different driver programs.

Maintenance: Regular cleaning with a damp cloth or after spraying is sufficient. A mast mounting arm, bracket, clamp, and a standard 7-pin connector connected to ADCON via a 3-meter cable.
