WindSonic is Gill's low-cost alternative to traditional cup-shaped/wind vane/thruster wind speed sensors, with no moving parts, no need for expensive on-site calibration or maintenance, and a corrosion-resistant appearance, making it a truly "forget it after installation" device.
WindSonic is made of polycarbonate material, with a compact size of only 0.5kg, corrosion resistance, UV resistance, and can operate in harsh environments without worrying about damage like mechanical anemometers such as wind cups or propeller impellers.
WindSonic is designed flexibly and can be easily configured to transmit the information that users need. Using the provided software, users can choose the appropriate output rate and measurement unit for their application. To ensure accuracy and reliability, each output data will have a status code to display its working status. WindSonic offers NMEA and RS232 digital outputs as standard, as well as three selectable features that provide different digital and analog outputs.
There are four output options:
option | Output |
Choose 1 | RS232 |
Choose 2 | RS232+RS422+RS485+NMEA |
Choose 3 | RS232+RS422+RS485+NMEA * 0-5V or 0-20mA or 4-20mA |
Choose 4 | SDI-12 output (this version has separate instructions and operation manual) |
