Application of ZKS folded plate muffler

ZKS folded plate muffler is an improved type of sheet type resistive muffler. The sound-absorbing sheet is in the shape of a folded plate, which increases the number of reflections of sound waves and improves the noise reduction performance. The muffler uses glass wool as the sound-absorbing material, galvanized perforated plate and ultra-fine glass cotton cloth as the protective plate. The effective channel of the pipeline is relatively large, and the pressure loss is small, making it an excellent muffler. Mainly using porous sound-absorbing materials to reduce noise. In addition to fixing the sound-absorbing material on the inner wall of the airflow channel, it is also necessary to evenly arrange the resistive folded plate sound-absorbing components in a certain way inside the channel, which constitutes a resistive folded plate muffler. To reduce the resistance of the muffler, a guide head can be installed at the end of the folded plate muffler facing the airflow. When sound waves enter a resistive muffler, a portion of the sound energy is converted into heat energy through friction in the pores of the porous material, dissipating and weakening the sound waves passing through the muffler. Due to the slightly longer channel of the folded plate compared to the sheet-like component, and the repeated refraction and collision of sound waves in the folded plate channel, the contact time between sound waves and the sound-absorbing element is increased, resulting in an increase in noise reduction performance. But repeated refraction collisions also increase resistance losses.

Performance characteristics of ZKS folded plate muffler

1. The noise reduction performance of ZKS type folded plate muffler is mainly in the middle and high frequencies, with greater noise reduction and pressure loss than that of sheet muffler. The length is L=900mm, and generally 1-2 sections are suitable. After adding sound insulation treatment to the shell of the ZKS folded plate muffler, it becomes the ZKSA type, which has the same noise reduction performance and pressure loss as the ZKS folded plate muffler. The noise reduction and pressure loss are greater than (22-25dB (A)/m, 40Pa/m) of the sheet muffler.

2. When the muffler is installed in a computer room or a room with high noise, ZKSA type folded plate muffler should be used.

3. ZKS type mufflers should not be installed in computer rooms or other rooms with high noise levels to prevent sound short circuits.

Note: 1. If a larger specification muffler is required, it can be designed and manufactured according to the flange dimensions listed in China's standard air ducts;

2. The flange width of galvanized steel sheet air ducts shall be made according to the specifications of 2002, and the flange width of glass magnesium air ducts shall be made according to 50mm;

3. In order to maintain consistency with the installation dimensions of the user, if the user does not specify, the flange will not be punched.
